Overview

Social Intel API ("we", "us") provides an Instagram influencer search API. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

• API Request Logs: IP address, request path, query parameters, response status code, and timestamps. Retained for 90 days for debugging and abuse prevention.
• Payment Data: On-chain transaction hashes and wallet addresses used for x402 payments. We do not store private keys or have custody of your funds.
• Analytics: We use PostHog (server-side) and Google Analytics (client-side) to understand usage patterns. No personally identifiable information is collected beyond IP address.
• Contact Form: If you submit feedback, we store your name, email, and message to respond to your inquiry.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No account registration required — we have no user accounts, passwords, or profiles.
• No cookies are set by our API endpoints.
• No Instagram user data is stored on our servers — search results are fetched in real-time from upstream data sources and returned directly to you.

Instagram Data

Search results contain publicly available Instagram profile information (usernames, follower counts, categories, public email addresses on business accounts). We do not scrape private profiles or access non-public data.

Payments

Payments are processed via the x402 protocol using USDC on Base chain. All transactions are on-chain, non-custodial, and verifiable. We never have access to your wallet's private keys.

Third-Party Services

• PostHog (eu.posthog.com) — server-side analytics
• Google Analytics — client-side web analytics
• Sentry — error monitoring
• Cloudflare — DNS and DDoS protection

Data Retention

API logs are retained for 90 days. Analytics data is retained per the respective third-party service's policies. Contact form submissions are retained until your inquiry is resolved.

Your Rights

Since we don't maintain user accounts, there is minimal personal data to manage. If you'd like to request deletion of any data associated with your IP or wallet address, contact us at [email protected].

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
